Centre Vidéo de Bruxelles

The Brussels Video Centre is an audio-visual production workshop and a Lifelong education Association of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. The CVB is intended to be an audio-visual centre covering five main areas:

  • creative documentary production : mainly focusing on social, political, artistic issues and developing new forms of documentary writing;
  • working with associations in close collaboration and support of common objectives;
  • video workshops: production of authentic educational tools for the general public;
  • promotion of a catalogue of films that reflects our editorial consistency and the rich history of our realisations;
  • research and on-going thoughts about the power and the truth of the image.

Our driving forces are:

  • the diversity of approaches and the uniqueness of their content,
  • the friction of genres and processes;
  • the articulation of an artistic approach with an emphasis on social issues,
  • paying particular attention to individuals who are neither experts, politicians or leaders but ordinary citizens.
